About Us

  • The Gamma Omicron Chapter is the largest Greek Organization on the Utica College campus currently with more than twenty sisters. The Chapter is made up of a unique style of women. We have many Nursing Majors, but we also have Occupational Theraphy, Physical Therapy, Psychology, Construction Management, Biology Majors and more! All have something special they can contribute to the Fraternity whether a sister is a comedian, well organized, good at public relations and fundraising, smart, enthusatic, honest and more.

Our Chapter strives on academic excellence and we have one of the highest Grade Point Averages on campus. To reward our sisters for all their hard work they are given Academic Excellence Awards consisting of Gold (3.50-4.00), Silver (3.00-3.49), and Bronze (2.50-2.99) Awards. The Chapter also has received many Academic Excellence Awards from Utica College.

As a philanthropy based Chapter we also try to participate in as much as we can in the community and on our college campus. We annually donate and attend the Heart Run Walk, and Breast Cancer Walk. We also have several National philanthropy's we assist in as well, such as the Glenmary Home Missioners which helps depressed areas in the United States. We also fundraise for Camp Friendship, a camp for underprivileged children to enjoy some fun for two weeks in the Summer. We also help with The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built which provieds assistance to organizations to help the homeless, shelters for abused women and children, and neighborhood revitalization projects.

We like to participate in Campus involvment such as hosting programs for drugs and alcohol, but also hosting game and movie nights. We attend other Greek organizations events to help support and encourage Greek growth.

If you see a sister in the halls, class, or cafeteria don't be afraid to say hello! We always want to make new friends, and potential new sisters!! :-)
